certified

Our steel doors are NAFS certified and meet the requirements of the building code for the location they will be installed. Carefully engineered components underwent stringent lab testing and complicated performance ratings to meet Canadian-only performance and labeling requirements. Innovative door system components work together to provide outstanding results for air infiltration and exfiltration, water penetration resistance and structural wind load resistance. Up to 20 minutes fire rated.

NAFS Compliant ``FX``
Sweep system

NAFS Compliant “FX” Inswing and Outswing Sill/Sweep system provides better performance compared to the self-draining door sweep. It drives the rain water to drain onto the sill and prevents leaks on the interior floors.

This seal system, engineered with craftsmanship and precision, has several layers of fins and interior compression bulb which allows easy movements of the door and prevents air drafts for energy saving.

Weatherstrip and Corner Pad

Weather-strip and corner pad for edge-to-edge moisture and draft protection for a precise seal between the door and a frame.

Our flexible, foam-filled weather-strips hold their shape over time, protected by a durable jacket to repel moisture away.

Woven pile corner pads on a polypropylene fin with a pressure-sensitive adhesive backing provide a better seal for the door corners against dirt and dust (compared to the foam pads). 

Door Sill

Made of moisture-resistant treated pine substrate, covered by 17-gauge heavy duty aluminum, provides a solid stepping surface, resists rot and drives rain water away. Slanted cap and nosing mates with the single-bulb bottom sweep to help form a light seal and prevent interior condensation. 

Door Sill Extender

If the width between your doorjambs is not long enough, we will use a door sill extender to seamlessly connect your door sills with your doorjambs.

Our extenders are made of durable 17-gauge aluminum and come in different sizes and colors to match your door sill.

Heavy-Duty Hinges

We offer a choice of heavy-duty solid brass hinges with capacity to hold increased load.

Using our hinges we can position your door to properly compress the weatherstrip. Without precise positioning the door can be hung incorrectly and pinch the weatherstrip or create a gap for the air and moisture penetration.

Security Plate

Professionally installed 16-inch or 18-inch thick steel plate provides security and protection from unwanted visitors for your peace of mind.
